Silsby Garden Apartment robbery suspect arrested

BLYTHE, Calif – On Wednesday May 22 Officers from the Blythe Police Department responded to Silsby Garden Apartment Complex located at 200 N. 9th Street regarding a report of a burglary at that location. Officers arrived and learned that a tool shed on the apartment complex property had been entered by an unknown suspect and property was missing from the shed.
From statements and evidence collected at the scene, Officers were able to get a good description of the suspect’s vehicle.
Later that same afternoon Officers located a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle in the 100 Block of N. Third St. The driver of the vehicle was contacted and the property that was reported stolen was located in plain view in the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, William Bradford (age 52 of Blythe), was arrested, questioned and later confessed to the burglary.
Bradford was later booked into Blythe Jail for burglary.
Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
